This is an example of a recent staging job I did for a condo in Punta Gorda, Southwest Florida. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a screened-in lanai on the second floor. What sets it apart from most condos is the fact that it is located in a gated community with many amenities including tennis courts, swimming pool, exercise facility and walking trails and ponds scattered throughout the community. The condo unit has an elevator so you can have a view without having to worry about climbing stairs. To show off the spaciousness of the condo unit I brought in just the right amount of furniture. I chose to show off the fact that the kitchen was large enough to eat-in by using a bistro table. There is also a kitchen counter which allows for bar stools if you prefer. A dining table was placed on the other side of the counter with a view to the living room. Because the kitchen is modern with black stainless appliances, I kept the accent colors bright and white and added a whimsical feel by using Angelfish martini glasses on the counter. The living room contains a sectional sofa which can be arranged many ways to enjoy the TV or the sunset view and gives the feeling of spaciousness. Choosing light colors accented with pastel colors in the master bedroom gives a Florida feel. The guest bedroom is large enough for a queen size bed and a bedside table with a dolphin and rope tied to the drape over the table gives a nautical feel. Notice the use of similar color through out the condo to tie in the Florida theme. Keep in mind the purpose of staging a home or condo is to allow the prospective buyer to visualize themselves living in the area. Furniture should show off the best use of the room without being overcrowded.
