About Linda Kelly - Austin and San Antonio Makeup Artist
Linda has been a professional makeup artist for over 20 years. She has performed thousands of makeovers on clients of all ages. Throughout her career she has been a major performer with top fashion cosmetics lines including Chanel, Borghese, Estee Lauder, Givenchy, Yves ST. Laurent, Lancome, Revlon and Elizabeth Arden.
Linda is a licensed cosmetologist in three states.
The Seventies:
In 1975, Linda moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and for a few years her look was "au natural" having discovered the original mineral makeup called Indian Earth. She later became the makeup artist for Indian Earth Cosmetics in retail establishments throughout Oahu. Next came the Disco Era, glittery eye shadow and lots of liner.
The Eighties:
BIG HAIR and Mega Makeup Looks of the 80's inspired Linda to pursue her passion for makeup and the total look. She attended Hawaii Institute of Hair Design where she received a Cosmetology Degree and quickly became an award winning hairstylist and makeup artist working with fashion shows, commercial photo shoots and bridal collections. She went on to co-manage one of the first glamour photography studios in Hawaii. Her ability to create everything from the soft and natural look for the blushing bride to the dynamic and dramatic starlet glamour of the silver screen and theatre became even more established during this time.
The Nineties:
LInda added Opera makeup and wig styling to her credits by working with the renowned wigmaster and stylist, Richard Stead, at the Hawaii Opera Theatre Company for three seasons while also pursuing a commercial career including television and film. Revlon called on Linda to do hair and makeup for supermodel Claudia Schiffer for special appearances in Maui and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Today:
Linda is teaching the art of Airbrush Makeup application for weddings, portraits and special occassions. Linda has made thousands of brides radiantly happy on their wedding day with her makeup applications by using superb makeup products, including AIRBRUSH MAKEUP which is water-resistant and natural looking. These unique products, attention to detail and the ability to listen to her clients are what make up Linda's trademark makeup application.
